Happy Canada Day! I know I may be the only one on the committee celebrating, but for everyone else, July 1st is the day that Canada became its own sovereign nation. In typical Canadian fashion, this was done with pens and ink, not guns and violence. And, more importantly, it gave us a day off in our summer!
Your July newsletter has a lot of events for you. Hope to see many of you!

Moodle 3.9 Project
Moodle 4.0 Projects
The Provide a built-in ‘Download all …’ routine in core and address it for a functionality for students (and more) (MDL-63270) project has had some good, detailed discussions to nail down the requirements and scope. These discussions provided clarity to both the proposers and HQ and has led to some viable plans forward. Right now, we are working on coming up with a plan that both provides a good start to a solution and meets the resourcing needs of both the MUA and HQ.
Moodle 4.1 Projects
Our six projects proposed for the January - June 2020 cycle remain in a holding pattern while we nail down the 4.0 proposal. While this puts us behind schedule, we are doing everything we can to bring these all together.
Ask Martin anything - call for questions!
Once again, Martin Dougiamas faces the questions of MUA-members - live and with no preparation time. Do you have a question for him, please share it with us. We are collecting your questions in our Ask Martin Anything Session forum. Join us at the lunch event of the MUA at the Moodlemoot Global Online on Wednesday 8 July at 1:50-2:30pm CEST (URL will be published later). This event will be open to all participants, if you want to be sure that your question will be asked, send it to us in advance.

The last few months have been a challenge in so many ways. Most recently, the US has seen sweeping demands for social and racial justice, with nations around the world joining in peaceful protest as a show of solidarity to end systemic racism and violence.
At the Moodle Users Association, our efforts are built on the belief that the world will be better as education is made available to everyone, everywhere. Supporting Moodle, supports open education, and helps bring that education where it is needed. Better education helps create knowledge and awareness so that people will no longer have to be taught that Black Lives Matter. It will just be obvious. #BlackLivesMatter
